I studied medicine at El Bosque University in Bogota (Colombia) for 6 years.
After graduating from general medicine, I spent a year working in different rural areas within my country, serving the most disadvantaged population.
Later, I emigrated to Spain and worked in Madrid for two years, specifically attending emergencies and performing surgical assistantships for orthopaedic surgery and trauma in several private hospitals.
I obtained my degree in Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgery upon completion of the MIR -medical internship system, after studying in Granada city (Spain) for 5 years.
I completed a clinical fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery within the Ottawa University for one year (Canada).
I am a full member of the Spanish Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (SECOT), as well as the Spanish Association of Arthroscopy (AEA) and the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA).
I am particularly interested in arthroscopic surgery and sports injuries, while still performing a wide range of surgical procedures. (See portfolio of services).
